Aflas o-rings are black in color & have an 80A durometer. They’ve a round cross-section & can be used across a wide temperature range (14 degrees F/-10 degrees C to 428 degrees F/220 degrees C). This elastomer is a copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene (TFE) & propylene. Aflas is unique due to its resistance to petroleum products, steam, phosphate esters & brake fluids. In some respects, it exhibits media compatibility properties like ethylene propylene & fluorocarbon. It has fair resistance to brake fluids & phosphate esters while exhibiting good resistance to petroleum oils. Designed for use in a wide variety of sealing applications, these chemically-resistant o-rings meet standards defined by AS568. Aflas is resistant to oil, heat, electricity, abrasion & many chemicals including strong acids & bases. These heat resistant o-rings also perform well in weather, ozone & steam applications.
